De laatste jaren zijn er grote veranderingen te zien op het gebied van productie en levering. Naast de prijsstijgingen van grondstoffen zijn ook de kosten voor transport gestegen in de afgelopen 3 jaar. Daarnaast is ook de levertijd van onderdelen achteruitgegaan door een wereldwijd tekort aan grondstoffen. Deze ontwikkelingen zorgen er voor dat veel bedrijven op zoek gaan naar alternatieven. Zo wordt het produceren van producten op lokaal niveau steeds populairder.<\/h6>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Een bijkomend voordeel van lokaal produceren is dat de lijntjes tussen producent, leverancier en consument korter worden en dit de communicatie tussen de schakels en daarmee kwaliteit van producten vaak ten goede komt. Naast dat het mogelijk is om met 3D-printen een serieproductie op te starten. Zijn we altijd opzoek naar andere alternatieven voor het opschalen van de productie. Omdat wij geloven dat technologie een antwoord is om een alternatief te bieden voor China en andere productie landen zodat de keuze om lokaal te produceren voor bedrijven nog eenvoudiger wordt. Omdat reshoring mijn inziens een belangrijke pijler is als we op een verantwoorde manier weer willen gaan produceren.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Een van die alternatieven is Reaction Injection Molding, ofwel RIM. In 2020 zijn we begonnen met ori\u00ebnteren, onderzoeken, testen en optimaliseren en sinds begin april 2022 bieden we deze techniek aan aan onze klanten. Sindsdien hebben we verschillende succesvolle projecten opgeleverd.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Reaction Injection Molding is een productietechniek waarbij producten gemaakt worden doormiddel van het spuiten van een vloeistof in mallen. De mallen zorgen ervoor dat de vloeistof de juiste vorm aanneemt voordat het hard wordt. Het eindresultaat is een product precies in de vorm van een mal dat binnen een fractie van de tijd van bijvoorbeeld 3D-printen gemaakt kan worden. De doorlooptijd van een mal kan in sommige gevallen enkele seconden zijn.\u00a0<\/p>\n

De matrijzen worden normaal gesproken vervaardigt met behulp van conventionele productietechnologie\u00ebn uit een licht metaal, zoals aluminium. Hierdoor zijn ontwerpers gedwongen hun concepten aan te passen aan de beperkingen die het productieproces oplegt. Bij een technologie zoals frezen is de geometrische vrijheid van het ontwerp zeer beperkt; complexe vormen zijn niet of nauwelijks haalbaar. Tijd voor innovatie! We zijn gaan testen, testen en testen en inmiddels maken we gebruik van onze eigen 3D-geprinte mallen! Dit heeft niet alleen het voordeel van geometrische vormvrijheid, de mal-kosten zijn drastisch minder, de mal-ontwerpen zijn gemakkelijk aan te passen en in plaats van een productietijd van weken tot maanden voor gefreesde mallen zijn onze mallen binnen enkele uren tot dagen geproduceerd. Wat zorgt voor een korte doorlooptijd.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Reaction Injection Molding wordt veel gebruikt voor producten die in grote hoeveelheden moeten worden gemaakt.
Door de snelle productie en lage kostprijs van het materiaal kunnen sommige producten voor zeer lage prijzen, vaak enkele eurocenten, gemaakt worden.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Reaction Injection Molding is begin jaren 60 ontwikkeld en werd bekend tijdens de International Plastic Fair in Dusseldorp. RIM werd hier gebruikt om een complete auto te maken van plastic. Hierna werd RIM vooral in Amerika ontdekt en gebruikt voor het maken van auto-onderdelen zoals bumpers, spoilers en interieur onderdelen.<\/p>\n

RIM is in de daaropvolgende jaren langzaam uit het beeld verdwenen. Vooral de vraag naar hoge productie aantallen tegen een extreem lage prijs verdreef de techniek. Spuitgietmachines kwamen hiervoor in de plaats. Maar door gebruik te maken van 3D-geprinte mallen kan de RIM-machine weer concurreren met de spuitgietmachines!<\/p>\n
