Additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, offers benefits that cannot be achieved with traditional production lines: unlimited design freedom, customization, lightweight, material efficiency, ... We passionately share about 3D printing and how it can be a groundbreaking solution for many of their current processes in the company. To emphasize this, we offer companies a Next Level Session where we interactively involve their engineering teams and provide training.
To unlock its full potential, designers must adopt a completely new approach and mindset. In conventional manufacturing technologies, designers are forced to adapt their concepts to the limitations imposed by the production process. With a technology like milling, the geometric freedom of the design is very limited: it is almost impossible to create complex undercuts or make a shape hollow. As a result, parts are often inefficient or overdimensioned.
In theory, AM can indeed represent a win-win scenario. However, in practice, we see that the traditional mindset is very persistent and prevents the full potential of AM from being realized. The designer must make the transition to geometric freedom, complexity, and adaptability.
Next Level Session
To assist the designer in making the transition to geometric freedom, complexity, and adaptability, we offer workshops and brainstorming sessions to update your team's AM knowledge and gain valuable insights. We also specifically assess what can and cannot work for the customer and thoroughly examine the company's technical aspects. This way, we establish an intensive partnership and help your team to think differently.
