Exact characters
Some time ago, we had the privilege to 3D print four exact characters on a large scale. While this may seem straightforward, our engineers had to consider many different factors. This thought process involved smart segmentation of the 3D model into various parts, allowing us to print them as separate units. This gave us the opportunity to internally reinforce them and add a sturdy steel structure. At 3D Next Level, we have a wide range of 3D printers, each with its own capabilities and limitations. During the engineering process, these factors are taken into account to ensure the correct assembly of the individual pieces on the most suitable 3D printer. This includes numbered parts that fit together in only one way, preventing mistakes during assembly.
After printing each piece, a thorough finishing process ensues, including sanding and applying a primer layer to conceal any minimal print lines. Before taking the final step, our models undergo a last inspection to correct any imperfections and ensure a sleek end result. Finally, the figures are finished with a diverse color palette of 2-component lacquer. The result? A colorful and vibrant parade of 3D-printed exact characters.
